In this guide, you'll learn:

Networking: Be Introduced to Other Attendees Live!

Here’s where you can meet other attendees one on one!

This feature is optional, and it’s an excellent way to naturally network with other kindhearted floral pros.

Think of the Networking feature as the digital version of meeting someone in passing in the reception area or vendor booth at an in-person conference!

How to Join the Networking Room

  • Click on the Networking icon in the left menu bar (pictured above).

  • When ready to share audio/video to be introduced, click the green button that says “Ready.”

  • You’ll be introduced to someone new if others are also waiting in the networking room!

How to Make a New Connection

In the top right corner of your networking session window, there are several session options to choose from:

  • Extend

  • Connect

  • Leave

There’s also a timer showing how much time you have left in your networking session.

To make a connection with the person you’ve been introduced to, click “Connect,” and the digital venue will keep track of your connection for you.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Networking feature will not reconnect you with the same attendee twice. We highly encourage the use of the Connect button if you'd like to easily contact the person again. Think of it like exchanging your business card or Instagram handle! Each connection is saved for you, so you can easily continue chatting or follow up with your new flower friend after the live event ends.

To extend your session meeting time, select “Extend.”

To leave the session, select “Leave.”

How to View Your Connections Made

To see your saved connections (or, as we like to think of it, business cards!), follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "People" tab in the chat on the right side.

  2. Click the small "Filter" funnel-image icon next to the right of the search bar. A drop-down menu will appear.

  3. Select "My Connections," and the list of your connections made during your Networking sessions will show.

Once filtered, you can click on an individual's name to chat, invite them to a meeting, and more!

Excellent Questions for Networking Sessions

In addition to sharing your name, where you're based, your business name, and more, here are some helpful questions to get conversations started.

  • How long have you been in business?

  • Have you been successful in connecting with your local floral community?

  • What were some things you did to navigate COVID last year?

  • What arrangement/installation are you most proud of?

  • Do you have a dream event?

  • What tips do you have on growing/harvesting [insert flower]?

  • Have you done any business photoshoots?
